If You Need To Lose Weight Try These Tips To Help You Get in Shape Fast
By Gregg Hall
We've all heard how important it is to exercise on a daily basis, but it can be difficult to schedule regular slots of time to get in shape. For those who might have extra time, exercising can be boring, so after a while they lose interest and stop doing it. The good news is, you can get a great workout just by doing regular chores, or finding a form that you enjoy so much, you will continue to do it.
House cleaning is not only something that we do all the time, it burns plenty of calories while we do it. Step up your heart rate even more by doing chores that require lifting and movement. Cleaning out the garage is one way and so is cleaning out your kitchen cabinets. Stepping up and down on a chair to reach the higher areas provides great aerobic activity.
Help yourself and your friends by offering to help them move. Lifting and carrying boxes to the truck and into the new home will strengthen your muscles and burn fat. It's important to protect your back when lifting heavy items, so be sure to use proper lifting techniques.
Walking is a great way to get in shape. The best thing about it is that you don't have to just walk a boring track or treadmill. Head over to the mall and walk from one end to the other and back again. If it has more than one level, take the stairs to the next level and do the same there. For more fun, buddy up or volunteer for a charity walk, like the March of Dimes. When you go grocery shopping, park in a spot that's far enough from the store to get a good workout.
Mowing the lawn with a push mower, especially the old fashioned kind that doesn't have a self propelling motor is another good way to burn calories. Pushing the mower around the lawn can cover more distance than you think. You also get the benefit of being out doors and enjoying the sunshine.
Speaking of yard work, weeding the flower beds cause you to constantly bend, stoop and stand. This is great for your leg muscles. Raking the yard adds walking and arm movements for an even more beneficial workout.
When you take the dog for a walk, you take yourself for one too. You can walk at a brisk pace or even race your dog for more fun. Your dog will certainly enjoy it and so might you.
Instead of watching an aerobics video, turn on the radio and start dancing. You can do it in your living room or you can go out to a club. Consider taking dance lessons and twirl away those pounds.
Playing with your children allows you both of you to have fun. Play hide and seek or tag. Start up a game of kickball, or shoot some hoops. Whatever game you choose, it's a great way for the family to bond.

It's hard to imagine a less-glamorous movie debut. Shirt soaked, forehead glowing like a piece of chicken tikka, my leading-man looks have sadly evaporated under the blazing sun of a Kerala morning. I doubt Brad Pitt would cope any better without hair, make-up and a punka-wallah to fan away the oppressive heat between scenes of the Bollywood film I've stumbled into after an early-morning meander ...
