Maintaining good health is a wish of every individual. To maintain this one should eat variety of foods in right proportion. Eating the right proportion helps in maintaining the weight of your body. Weight loss is sensible only when it reduces 0.5kg to 1 kg per week. To accomplish this weight, eating 500 to 1000 or less calories a day is recommended. This intake of sensible amount of food can be efficiently done by substituting high fat foods with low fat foods. Low fat foods such as vegetables, fruits, low fat dairy products and unrefined carbohydrates replenish the required vitamins and also keep an individual physically active. A sensible amount of food does not only depend on the type of food, but it also accounts on the size or amount of food a person intakes. Is weight loss diet difficult? The answer is no. Protein rich foods are very essential to maintain the wear and tear of the body. The repair and growth is met effectively with proteins as they are known as the building blocks of the body. Meat, eggs, fish, lentils and beans are rich in protein. Especially, meat is an excellent source of iron, zinc, selenium and Vitamin B. Protein rich foods that are basically the lean sources also help in reducing the calories that gets accumulated from fat and curbs your appetite. The lean sources can be acquired by removing the skin from chicken, shedding fats from lamb, beef, pork and the ultimate is using minimal oil for cooking. Eating oily fish that are rich in omega fatty acids twice a week is essential. Fish such as sardines, trout or salmon is very good for health. Consuming two portions of valuable protein rich food everyday is mandatory.



Foods that are opulent in starch such as potatoes, rice, bread and breakfast cereals endow with energy as well as other nutrients such as iron and Vitamin B. A sensible amount of food includes starchy foods. Starchy foods should comprise one third of your total energy intake. Choosing fibrous food keeps you feel full for a longer period of time and helps in controlling the hunger. Any balanced diet containing five portions of starch foods is necessary every day. Fruits and vegetables are the best as they possess essential vitamins and minerals and make a sensible amount of food for weight loss diet. Intake of fruits and vegetables should be of high priority as it contains lots of water that controls your calories. Milk as well as dairy foods such as yogurt and cheese are good calcium sources and also provide vitamins and proteins. Avoiding alcohol is highly recommended as it increases the calories. Processed foods always come with high quantity of salt contents as preservatives. This should also be avoided as intake of much salt is not good for health. Having a control on diet and eating a balanced diet with opulent vitamins and minerals ensure vigorous weight loss.
