The best diets are diets that feel easy, not where you feel you're deprived of nice food and research also shows that the best diets are those that you can stick with over the long term, and not the type of diet designed to be used for a short period of time. The best diets are those that take a healthful approach to eating and can be sustained and evolved into your lifestyle so that a person gradually changes to a healthier way of eating.
Fast weight loss is not the key to successful weight loss and if you want to lose weight then you have to discipline yourself, whatever the weight loss program. A successful weight loss diet is one that matches that dieter's preferences and lifestyle, and one that's sustainable over the long term, a slow and steady diet with average losses of one to two pounds a week. Any weight loss is better than no weight loss and not gaining weight in the first days of any diet is preferable for your health than shedding weight too quickly.
Variety in a diet is important because it exposes the body to a wider range of nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates and vitamins and minerals, which the body needs to function at its best. Whatever diet you undertake take time eating your meals. Chewing your food properly gives your body time to acknowledge the food your eating and gives your body time to realize when your full. Also, it is a lot better for your digestive system, which will then have a knock-on affect throughout your body. Also, consider that your body takes a little bit of time to get used to losing weight.
Losing weight is a slow process, and keeping it off usually requires a lifetime commitment to improved habits of eating and exercise. There is no better combination to promote a healthy lifestyle and lose weight at the same time than combining the right diet with regular exercise. Furthermore, regular and moderate exercise can even reduce appetite and as an added benefit, exercise reduces stress and anxiety too.
Seems the best diets are the ones we can stay on, where you can eat nice food and not undergo a regime of starvation. Even the best diets are unlikely to be successful, however, if you have unrealistic goals that tend to lead to frustration.
