Easy Weight Loss - Is It Really Possible?

It's a provocative question, isn't it? And everyone who has ever struggled with weight issues will know just how the dream of easy weight loss seems always just out of reach.
But is it actually possible to lose weight in a way that's easy? Read on and I'll answer that question for you.
There are many factors which contribute to an individual being overweight and some of them need medical intervention. But in most cases the process of losing weight is the same whether you need to lose 10 pounds or 200 pounds. You generally have to change the type and quantity of food you eat and - usually - up your activity levels.
Well, the simple fact is that humans tend to be creatures of habit. And if something takes us out of our comfort zone we're not, well, comfortable. That's why it's called a comfort zone.
So we end up trying to use willpower to make the changes. But they rarely last. I mean, let's be honest and recognize that the vast majority of people who try to lose weight will end up putting on as much weight as they managed to lose - and then some!
You see the thing is that our habits have a habit of controlling our actions before we've even realized it. And it's incredibly hard work keeping your willpower focused on one goal. We're just not made that way. But if you could find a way to change your habits you would certainly see a change in the results you got. You'd be certain to see the change because when you change what you do you change what you get. That makes sense, right?
How can you change your habits if they're hard to change?
What you have to remember is that habits are formed, even though you don't realize it at the time. And they can be unformed, with new ones taking their place, in the same way.
Thousands of people get real results using a technique which some people call self-talk, some call positive affirmations, some even call 'The Secret', but which is really no more than enlisting the help of your subconscious mind to target the results you want, like a laser. Your subconscious mind keeps your heart beating at exactly the right speed, regulates your breathing, your digestion, mental processes, the movement of your body. It's really the powerhouse of the brain and you can use it to help you achieve weight loss.
Let me illustrate it this way: if you absolutely loved eating the right kind of foods, in the right amounts, and you enjoyed sensible gentle activity, do you think that would help you lose weight? Of course it would.
And what your subconscious mind believes you want is what it will work towards giving you. All you have to do is be clear about telling it what you actually want.
Here's a simple technique for doing just that:
1) Write out a list of 10 statements about the new self you'd like.
2) Word them positively (example: I am slim and healthy)
3) Every morning, when you wake, read them aloud at least three times.
4) Read them aloud again just before going to sleep.
5) Keep doing that for 10 days.
Then see how you feel. Notice any changes in how you react to food. You'll be surprised at how effective this technique can be if you try it faithfully. And you can make the technique even more effective if you record yourself reading your statements out loud, with passion and conviction.
Then just listen to your recording as often as you can throughout the day. The more you listen the more effect it will have.
You see easy is what we call things we don't mind doing, where there's no struggle. And if your subconscious mind is propelling you toward the right kinds of activity then you'll find the weight loss is easy because you'll want to do the right thing.
